NYLPI is pleased to join the #GivingTuesday movement this year to help inspire personal philanthropy and encourage bigger, better, and smarter charitable giving during the holiday season.
The fifth annual #GivingTuesday will take place on November 29, 2016.
The retail industry has long benefited from seasonal shopping that symbolically kicks off with “Black Friday” and has since inspired “Cyber Monday.” #GivingTuesday serves as a celebratory day to kick off the giving season, when many make their holiday and end-of-year charitable gifts. #GivingTuesday brings together diverse networks of people, large corporations, small businesses, and nonprofits to inspire people to take collaborative action to improve their local communities and give back to the charities and causes they celebrate.
By harnessing the power of social media, #GivingTuesday will create a global movement that is dedicated to giving around this world. On November 29, NYLPI invites you to join with us in pursuit of justice for all New Yorkers. Do you believe that certain basics like good schools, caring hospitals, and stable housing should be accessible to all? Would you like to improve immigrant access to the New York State Health Plan Marketplace? Reduce pollution and create jobs through a reformed commercial waste transfer system? Ensure safe, healthy, and accessible schools for all New York City school children? Follow us on twitter @NYLPI and “like” us on Facebook to #pursuejustice and share your NYLPI story.
We can accomplish so much more together! #pursuejustice on #GivingTuesday, November 29, by making a gift to NYLPI. Your support will help NYLPI increase our impact and remain an active, prominent, and positive voice for our New York City communities.
