Pro Bono Advisory Council
In 2004, NYLPI brought together a group of lawyers dedicated to enhancing the public service commitment of our profession. The group has flourished, attracting talented attorneys from large law firms and corporations throughout New York City and holding a series of events on various topics related to pro bono and public interest work.
On March 24, 2010 at Davis Polk & Wardell LLP, New York Lawyers for the Public Interest’s Pro Bono Advisory Council convened a panel consisting of partners and associates currently serving on nonprofit boards, to provide valuable insights into how board service has helped them fulfill their commitment to public interest and enhanced their legal careers. Attendees were eligible to apply for a special United Way Linkages board training program and graduates of the program will be matched with a nonprofit board. This was a wonderful morning of conversation and information! To learn more about this event, please watch the video posted above!
