NYLPI’s Education Program protects and promotes the educational rights of students with disabilities in the New York City public school system. Our attorneys and advocates use a variety of approaches to ensure that students with disabilities have access to a free appropriate public education and to the full spectrum of programs and activities that the public schools have to offer.

In addition, NYLPI co-founded and acts as counsel to Parents for Inclusive Education (PIE), an organization of parents, educators, and advocates who came together to make inclusion a more viable option for children with disabilities in the city’s schools.
