The Health Justice Program is excited to share our recently released 2021 Spring Report of the Medical Providers Network, as a continuation of our newsletter campaign, highlighting the outstanding efforts and commitment of our medical provider volunteers in ending the human rights crisis in immigration detention and responding to the threat of COVID-19 in our client communities. This report provides a thorough summary of our work towards supporting the release of people in immigration detention and incarceration settings in New York City. It also takes a deeper look into the serious patterns of abuse and neglect from both immigration detention facilities across New York and New Jersey and jails in the New York City metro area. We hope that this report allows our community to learn more about the work of NYLPI’s Medical Providers Network and join us in applauding our volunteers’ invaluable commitment and support.
