Event Recap: Paola Martinez-Boone Hosted Special Education Training Sessions in Brooklyn

Paola Martinez-Boone, senior advocate/special education coordinator, NYLPI, provided a training regarding planning for the future for individuals with disabilities at Monday’s Brooklyn Developmental Disabilities general meeting. This training addressed over fifty attendees and provided over one hundred materials about NYLPI programs and services.

Martinez-Boone also provided a Future Planning Training at PS77K. This training targeted families of individuals with disabilities and addressed topics such as how to preserve government benefits (Medicaid, SSDI, SSI), supported decision-making, power of attorney, guardianship and more.
