Peers Not Police Rally
Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at
9 a.m.
Broadway Entrance of City Hall (at the intersection of Broadway & Murray Street)

NAMI-NYC and speakers from NYLPI, CCIT-NYC, Community Access, NYCLU will rally for funding for more community-based mental healthcare and a true peer-led, non-police response to mental health crisis calls. Now more than ever, we need to call on our elected officials to invest in mental health supports and related services, especially for BIPOC community members. Join us to rally before the Preliminary Budget Hearing on Mental Health on the steps of City Hall.

If you would like to testify live in person or via video conferencing, please register in advance of the hearing here. Each person who intends to testify live via Zoom should register separately. If you plan to testify in person, it would be greatly appreciated if you could bring twenty (20) copies double-sided of your written testimony to the hearing.

Written testimony may be submitted without registration by emailing it to [email protected] or via the Council’s website here up to 72 hours after the close of the hearing. For questions about this event, please email [email protected]
