Governor Kathy Hochul and Mayor Eric Adams have unveiled the next phase of the subway safety plan. Advocates concerned with the city’s treatment of people who are homeless and of people with mental illnesses are addressing how the “safety” plan and expansion of Kendra’s Law would worsen existing disparities in treatment.
