NYLPI Director of Environmental Justice Anthony Karefa Rogers-Wright and the NYLPI Environmental Justice program congratulates Senator Jessica Ramos on the passage of S2510A, the Enhanced Participation Plan bill, in the New York State Senate. S2510A “requires applicants for major projects located near a disadvantaged community to submit an enhanced public participation plan,” a crucial step forward in fighting against the disparities of environmental racism.
NYLPI is a proud Steering Committee member of NY Renews and remains committed to seeing this bill pass the NY Assembly and be signed into law by Governor Kathy Hochul.
