NYLPI released our Spring 2021 Report of the NYLPI Medical Providers Network in May, as a continuation of our newsletter series, highlighting the outstanding efforts and commitment of our medical provider volunteers. The report details our work supporting the release of people in immigration detention and incarceration settings in New York City. The report also goes into depth the various medical conditions most encountered and serious patterns of abuse and neglect from both immigration detention facilities across New York and New Jersey and jails in the New York City metro area. We hope that this report allows our community to learn more about the work of NYLPI’s Medical Providers Network and recognize the invaluable commitment and support from our medical allies.
