NYLPI’s 29th Annual Law and Society Luncheon honored John J. Suydam, (Apollo Global Management) and Debo P. Adegbile (WilmerHale).
NYLPI raised over $2 million to help immigrant New Yorkers access better health care, including life-saving treatment and organ transplants through the UndocuCare campaign; train and empower community members on how to access to healthcare, housing, education, and more; work to reform New York City’s discriminatory paratransit “Access-a-Ride” system; fight environmental racism with the goal of eliminating the unfair burden of environmental hazards borne by low-income communities and communities of color; and mobilize NYLPI’s network of pro bono attorneys to support hundreds of nonprofits in need of legal assistance.
