NYLPI is delighted to learn that Assembly Bill A.2103-D, a series of provisions that would ensure environmental impact assessments identify disproportionate burdens on disadvantaged communities, has passed the Assembly and now awaits Governor Kathy Hochul’s signature. We firmly believe that Environmental Justice is not possible without Racial and Economic Justice and signing A.2103-D is a major step toward putting an end to polluting projects and their inequitable impacts on communities of color.
Learn more about the bill from the NY State Senate.
