Two staff members of NYLPI’s Disability Justice program, Eman Rimawi-Doster and Christopher Schuyler, were featured in a NY1 story about the New York Taxi and Limousine Commission’s shortcomings in for-hire vehicle accessibility.

“I had to pay the full price to get home. It’s gotten better since the second phase started but I’m concerned [about] moving forward.” – Eman Rimawi-Doster, senior organizer, NYLPI

“When there’s the option to choose anything besides wheelchair-accessible vehicles, drivers will choose that other option. Especially since drivers are expected to cover the cost of new vehicles and maintenance.” – Christopher Schuyler, senior staff attorney, NYLPI
