NYC Racial Justice Commission: Melissa Iachán represents NYLPI at Panel

On August 3, Melissa Iachán, Senior Supervising Counsel in the Environmental Justice Program, presented in one of three panels as part of the NYC Racial Justice Commission’s event, “Planning for a Racially Equitable Future.”

This event is part of a series of panels that the NYC Racial Justice Commission has programmed to determine what is necessary to disrupt systemic racism. These events examine how to make racial equity a reality in areas such as: Health, Education, Housing, Infrastructure, and Economic Justice.

Melissa was one of 10 guest practitioners and thought leaders invited to present during this panel. The full presentation can be watched at bit.ly/TransformingFoundations. American Sign Language was included as part of the program.
