NYLPI and Other Transportation Advocates Ensure Restoration of $279 Million in Transit Funds Statewide

In response to the efforts of a coalition of watchdog groups, unions and advocates including NYLPI, the final New York State 2021-2022 budget rejected all the Governor’s proposed raids on transit funds statewide, amounting to a savings of $279 million total, including $236 million for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA).
