Physical education in schools

NYLPI applauds Mayor de Blasio on his strong commitment to physical education in New York City public schools committing nearly $100 million over the next four years, which will help hire over 500 new certified PE teachers.  By providing more funding for equal access to physical education, the City is making an important step in addressing health disparities.
