NYLPI Legal Director Hayley Gorenberg was featured in Fordham Law School’s recent OUTLaws symposium: “Road to Rebuilding: The Equality Act and LGBTQI Rights Under the Biden-Harris Administration.” During the first panel, Gorenberg addressed the significance of executive orders, the Equality Act, and the Supreme Court’s Bostock decision establishing that Title VII’s nondiscrimination protections extend to LGBTQ workers.

Professor Joseph Landau moderated the panel, where Gorenberg was joined by Zsea Bowmani, Lecturer in Environmental Law & Policy, Santa Clara University; Jess Braverman, Legal Director of Gender Justice; Taissa Morimoto, Senior Policy Counsel of the National LGBTQ Task Force; and Elizabeth F. Schwartz, co-chair of the board of directors of SAGE.
