In this article NYLPI’s Health Justice Program shares legal strategies propelling our landmark rulings and settlements in our federal cases Charles v. Orange County and Charles v. United States, advancing the rights of people in immigration detention. Authored by former NYLPI Health Justice Program Director Laura Redman, the piece was published by the Practising Law Institute, in conjunction with NYLPI’s continuing legal education presentation on the subject during PLI’s Pro Bono Week.
