People in favor of Congestion Pricing hold up signs "If not now, when?", "Congestion Pricing Now" at a rally

The Governor’s last-minute attempt to indefinitely delay the Central Business District tolling program after years of community input, public hearings, and intensive study is unacceptable. This about-face threatens to defund billions of dollars in urgently needed transit service improvements, including accessibility improvements for New Yorkers with disabilities, as well as climate mitigation programs in environmental justice communities. The climate crisis is spiraling out of control, and the Governor must not undermine this long overdue measure that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and toxic air pollution from vehicular traffic.

We call on Governor Hochul to stand aside and allow the MTA to proceed with this well-balanced, common-sense initiative that will reduce pollution and fix our broken transit system.
