April 6, 2022Awards and Recognition, Community Justice, News, Pro Bono Clearinghouse
NYLPI’s very own Heidi Kim, Assistant Director of Pro Bono Programs, was recognized as one of City & State’s 2022 Nonprofit 40 Under 40, a showcase of young, diverse nonprofit leaders making a difference in New York. Every day, Heidi supports nonprofit organizations on the front lines of the fight for social and racial justice by connecting them to pro bono legal counsel. Driven by her commitment to grassroots and community-based organizations, she’s dedicated her tenure at NYLPI to helping nonprofits achieve equity in their communities by ensuring all their legal needs are met. Her work harnesses the power of the private bar to connect young and experienced attorneys alike to volunteer opportunities in programs ranging from nonprofit lease negotiations to criminal record sealings.
When asked about her ability to build bridges to tackle organizations’ most crucial needs, Heidi stated:
“I’ve seen the legal industry rise to the challenge so many times, and this is no exception.”
Congratulations to Heidi! Read more about her work and other impactful nonprofit leaders at City & State.
