Despite the interruptions to daily routines posted by the pandemic, New York environmental activists are campaigning to ensure the city revamps its composting program to provide continue and expand waste reduction efforts. The impact Save Our Compost could have on the environment would radically improve the state of environmental justice.

NYLPI’s Director of Policy Justin Wood said, “How do you get your neighbors and, most importantly, your landlord, to get on board with doing this thing if you don’t have a law saying you have to do it?”
