Patterson Belknap Attorney Presents on Governance and Board Management for Nonprofits

On April 12, Tiffany N. Tam, an associate in Patterson Belknap’s Tax-Exempt Organizations department, led a presentation on nonprofit board administration and organizational financial accountability for a cohort of Queens nonprofits. The audience, consisting of members of the Queens Borough President’s Office Nonprofit Network, learned about board management best practices and accountability requirements that help nonprofits stay in good standing with their legal status. Tiffany Tam shared her extensive tax-exempt organization experience with community groups that provide the essential grassroots work to promote more equitable communities in New York City. NYLPI’s Pro Bono Clearinghouse provides capacity building trainings and webinars that help connect community organizations with the legal information needed to operate and thrive.
