U-Visas for Crime Victims
This partnership supports the NMIC Domestic Violence Project by addressing the backlog of U visa applications for survivors of domestic violence. Volunteer attorneys assist with filing these U visa applications, which both directly serves individuals who have experienced abuse and builds the NMIC’s capacity for providing domestic violence services. By helping clients seek a more secure immigration status, this partnership gives participants a greater sense of safety and helps them gain access to crucial resources and services.
