Anthony Karefa Rogers-Wright, Director of Environmental Justice at NYLPI, was quoted in a Streetsblog article regarding a new class-action lawsuit filed by the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund on behalf of Chinatown and Lower East side residents against the Two Bridges mega development – the first case to evoke the new 2022 Environmental Bond Act.
“It’s very important that we listen to communities who are directly impacted. There’s so many factors we have to consider — construction, operational phase, environmental hazards, and displacement to gentrification. It’s a fair argument to bring up.”
