Arielle Wisbaum

Arielle is a Staff Attorney in NYLPI’s Health Justice Program. Arielle helped launch NYLPI’s UndocuCare TGNCI+ Project, which focuses on ensuring that transgender, gender-nonconforming and intersex immigrant New Yorkers, as well as those living with HIV, have access to health care—including gender-affirming procedures. Arielle received her J.D. from Cornell Law School, where she spent four semesters serving immigrant farmworkers in the Farmworker Legal Assistance Clinic, and participated in the LGBT* Communities Practicum in Syracuse, NY. Before attending law school, Arielle interned at refugee resettlement agencies in the Detroit and Buffalo areas, where she helped arriving refugees gain access to benefits and housing and adjust to other aspects of life in their new homes. Arielle received her B.A. from the University of Michigan in 2016.
