Kyra Armstrong

Kyra Armstrong is a law graduate in the Environmental Justice Program at New York Lawyers for the Public Interest, where she works towards a more equitable and sustainable state by fighting against environmental injustice through NYLPI's campaigns with partner communities, with an emphasis on combating the disparate exposure of environmental harms to marginalized communities. Prior to joining NYLPI, Kyra worked in a legislative clinic with the New York Civil Liberties Union, was co-founder and co-president of her local Animal Legal Defense Chapter, and externed with the Waterfront Commission of N.Y. Harbor.

Kyra received her J.D. cum laude from the New York Law School and her B.A. Hofstra University.
